The main objective of the project is to significantly improve the quality of public transport in the regional city of Hradec Králové for the travelling public, especially for people with disabilities and mobility disabilities (reduced mobility and orientation), by purchasing new trolleybuses with a length of 12 meters and 18 meters, so-called solo trolleybuses and articulated trolleybuses. These railway vehicles will be more environmentally friendly, the operation of the new trolleybuses assumes that public transport will become more attractive for passengers in order to at least maintain or slightly gradually increase the share of public transport in Hradec Králové.
The result of the project implementation will be primarily an increase in quality and safety for passengers using trolleybus transport in Hradec Králové. Furthermore, a fundamental reduction in the average age of the trolleybus fleet and thus a reduction and improvement in the maintenance of the trolleybus fleet. Last but not least, the cost of operating these new vehicles will be reduced due to reduced electricity consumption and reduced repair and maintenance requirements. These vehicles have lower external and internal noise levels, which, together with the aforementioned lower electricity consumption, guarantees a positive impact on the environment. The implementation of the project will ensure an increase in the quality standard of public transport, while reducing the negative impact on the environment. By renewing the fleet with new modern low-floor vehicles, the city of Hrade Králové will become more attractive and increase the competitiveness of public transport (hereinafter referred to as "public transport").
