Ticket sales in the HopOn app and at the infocentre on the waterfront are over. Passengers use payment cards and the digital Client Zone
Press release

Hradec Kralove, 14 February 2025
At the beginning of April, two minor changes await Hradec Králové public transport passengers. As of 31 March 2025, the transport company is discontinuing the purchase of tickets in the HopOn app, one of the options for purchasing time tickets. It is also cancelling the service of selling tickets at the Hradec Králové Information Centre on Eliščina nábřeží. Tickets purchased by the last day of March using both methods will remain valid.
„After the introduction of payment by credit card in all carriages and the possibility to purchase not only time tickets electronically in the Client Zone, we no longer see the need to continue to operate the HopOn application or sales in the information centre,“ says Miroslav Hloušek, Deputy Mayor for Transport. The transport company continues to offer the possibility to buy a paper ticket or a ticket via SMS, and cash fares can also be purchased from the driver. And of course the customer centres at the company's headquarters in Pouchovská Street and at the Public Transport Terminal remain available.
The HopOn app is mostly used by students to purchase tickets. Time tickets purchased before 31 March 2025 will remain valid and can be used on public transport until they expire. „From 1 April 2025, it will no longer be possible to use the HopOn app to purchase tickets. However, the new Client Zone offers a very similar process for purchasing tickets on the web. Passengers can find all the information at www.dpmhk.cz,“ says Zdeněk Abraham, director of the transport company.
In the information centre at Eliščina nábřeží, the transport company operated the sale of time tickets and also the replenishment of credit to passengers' accounts. These services will be offered by the tourist IC for the last time on 31 March 2025. In addition, this contact point will offer general information on the public transport network in Hradec Králové. With the introduction of the new electronic ticketing system, the number of customers at the ticket counters will decrease. This is, by the way, the same trend experienced by other carriers in the Czech Republic.
With the new Client Zone there is the possibility of more effective communication with passengers. In the event of a telephone or e-mail enquiry, we can respond more quickly and accurately in our customer centres thanks to a detailed ticket history for individual accounts, but also to the listing of documents based on proof of the variable symbol. This also has an impact on lower traffic to contact points. Communication has moved more to a distance form.
A showroom and a shop selling products certified under the Hradec Králové Regional Product Mark will be set up in the vacant premises of the Hradec Králové Information Centre and the Petrof Museum's exhibition should be moved to these premises in 2025. „Our goal is to bring the best of Hradec Králové closer to the people, whether it is the quality regional products or the unique history associated with the legendary Petrof brand,“ Soňa Došková, director of the Destination Company Hradecko, which operates the information centre, explains the news.
