DPmHK invites passengers to check the validity of their City Card by the end of March
The Hradec Králové Transport Company reminds passengers to check the validity of their City Card and add it to the Client Zone by 31 March 2026. Cards that are not added to the Client Zone will no longer function in the on-board readers as of 1 April 2026.
„Anyone who is already registered in the Client Zone and has a City Card added as a ticket carrier does not have to do anything. Others are asked to register by the end of March,“ said Zdeněk Abraham, Director of the Hradec Králové City Transport Company.
Passengers can verify the validity of their City Card by simply entering their card number into the check form on the DPmHK website. Alternatively, have the card rechecked at the Customer Service Centre. Registration for the Client Zone can be done online or at the Customer Centres.
At the same time, DPmHK draws attention to credit balances on cards that will not be transferred to the Client Zone. „Untransferred balances will be available for transfer to a newly registered account or for withdrawal for a period of three years. After this period, the unclaimed balances will become the property of the company,“ added Director Abraham.
The city card has been used as a ticket carrier in Hradec Králové public transport for 20 years. The original ticketing system was put into full operation on 1 January 2006, in March 2024 DPmHK launched a new system based on virtual passenger accounts and identifiers. After a transitional period of concurrent operation, the transport company is now discontinuing the functionality of the original system. IREDO cards remain usable without change.
