Transport company awards three drivers for driving more than one million kilometres without an accident of their own making

The Hradec Králové City Transport Company evaluated the traditional Driving without Accidents competition and at a festive meeting on 18 December 2025 awarded three public transport drivers who drove more than one million kilometres without an accident of their own fault. This year's highest mark is 1,500,000 kilometres.
„Accident-free driving has long been one of our most important internal awards. It is recognition of professionalism, responsibility and daily attention, which is absolutely crucial in urban traffic,“ said Zdeněk Abraham, director of the Hradec Králové Transport Company.
The ceremony was also attended by guests who came to personally support and appreciate the drivers: Ing. Miroslav Hloušek, Deputy Mayor of the City of Hradec Králové for Transport, Economy and Budgets, Municipal Organizations and Sport, Zdeněk Abraham, Director of the Transport Company of the City of Hradec Králové, and on behalf of the Police of the Czech Republic, Lt. Mgr. Tomáš Fulka, Head of the Traffic Inspectorate of the Hradec Králové Territorial Department.
Awarded drivers in 2025
Three drivers have been added to the group of winners of the Driving Without Accidents competition this year:
Petr Husák - 1 500 000 km (30 years of experience)
Jaroslav Cervenka - 1 000 000 km (20 years of experience)
Jan Hradecky - 1 000 000 km (20 years of experience)
The Driving Without Accidents competition has long emphasised safe and considerate driving in the challenging conditions of urban traffic. DPMHK would like to thank all drivers and drivers for their daily work in traffic and remind passengers that safety is the shared responsibility of all road users.
Dopravní podnik města Hradce Králové, a. s., provides public transport in Hradec Králové and public transport services with a focus on safe and reliable passenger transport. The Journey Without Accidents (JBN) competition has been held continuously at the Transport Company since approximately 1975 and has long rewarded drivers who manage the daily demands of traffic without an accident of their own making.
Since 2000, a total of 81 drivers have reached the 1,000,000 km mark in DPMHK. Of this number, 7 drivers are over 2 000 000 km, 16 drivers are over 1 500 000 km and 17 drivers are over 1 250 000 km. As of 31.12.2025, DPMHK has a total of 17 active drivers with a mileage of over 1 000 000 km - of which 11 are bus drivers and 6 are trolleybus drivers.
