From Saturday 28 March 2026, the urban forest will now be accessible every 30 minutes
Transport to the Hradec Králové forests will be even easier and more convenient from 28 March. We have provided more connections in the direction of the Forest Cemetery stop. The new Line 9 run every 30 minutes between 8am and 7pm on weekends and public holidays.
Urban forests offers a number of attractions and the Forest Cemetery stop is the starting point for them. You can take a stroll with a pram, forest running trail, roller skating on asphalt circuit or visiting places for children such as Knight's stronghold or Park Na Větvi. Starting this weekend, you can get to the Lesní hřbitov or Zděná bouda stops every 30 minutes on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Departures between 8am and 7pm are also available at the same frequency. Using public transport eliminates the need to deal with parking, which is problematic in these places in good weather. If you don't have a prepaid time ticket, you can easily purchase fare by credit card in the car.
„Above all, we wanted to respond to requests from the public, who would welcome more connections to the forests of Hradec Králové. By increasing the transport capacity, we will support sustainable transport and at the same time allow visitors to access without having to deal with parking. We believe that this move will be appreciated by many people and that the buses will become a widely used service to the area,“ says the Mayor of Hradec Králové Pavlína Springerová.
The solution is also practical from an operational point of view. We can handle the reinforcement of line 9 without deploying another car and without the need for another driver. However, the services will not serve the final stop Malšovice u Střelnice. Passengers from this stop can use the Na Občinách stop, which is approximately 240 metres away.
