1 December is the global day to fight AIDS. On this day, we remember the victims of this disease and express our support for people living with HIV. Awareness and the fight against stigma remain key steps in prevention and treatment. That is why this year, awareness-raising trams and trolleybuses will again be operating in major Czech cities, offering passengers not only an unconventional ride, but also the opportunity to receive important information about HIV and AIDS.

 

Volunteers from IFMSA (an organization for medical students) will be available on Monday, December 1, on Trolley Line 2 from 2 to 5 p.m. You can ask them anything about AIDS.

 

This year's awareness-raising lines are organized by the Czech AIDS Aid Society with the support of the following transport companies: the Prague City Transport Company, the Brno City Transport Company, the České Budějovice City Transport Company, the Hradec Králové City Transport Company, the Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou City Transport Companies, the Opava City Transport Company, the Pardubice City Transport Company, the Pilsen City Transport Companies, and the Ústí nad Labem City Transport Company.
