The transport company introduced new Škoda 32Tr and 33Tr trolleybuses

The Public Transit Company of the City of Hradec Králové presented new Škoda 32Tr and 33Tr partial-battery trolleybuses in front of the FINEP arena today. During the public and media meeting, six vehicles were presented – four twelve-meter Škoda 32Tr trolleybuses and two eighteen-meter articulated Škoda 33Tr vehicles. Both types are equipped with a traction battery that also enables their operation outside the overhead line network. The event was attended by the city's mayor Pavlína Springerová, the director of the Hradec Králové branch of the Center for Regional Development Jakub Řezníček, the director of the transport company Zdeněk Abraham, and the COO of the Škoda Electric BUS Division Jan Naglmüller.

Along with the new trolleybuses, a new visual identity concept for the Hradec Králové public transit vehicles also premiered. Characteristic features include vertical stripes and a more prominent use of the city's new symbol, which will gradually appear on other new buses and trolleybuses as well. The passenger information decals have also been updated—new pictograms and updated labels can be found near the entry doors and inside the vehicles.

After cutting the ribbon, guests were also able to inspect the new vehicles from the inside. Before they are put into regular operation, the trolleybuses still face a number of tasks, such as the installation of the ticketing system and camera equipment. According to the current assumption, the first new trolleybuses should appear on Hradec Králové public transit lines within the next three weeks.
