RED.02 Conference: MHD as a priority for cities and the economy
Public transport must be perceived as a public interest and a key component of the functioning of modern cities. This very topic was at the center of the conference of the Association of Transport Companies of the Czech Republic RED.02, which was held on April 26 in Prague under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic.
The meeting was attended by 220 transport experts, including representatives and management of the Hradec Králové Public Transport Company. Discussions focused on stronger support for public transport at the state level, stable funding, legislative anchoring, and further development of public transport.
Important topics also included modern technologies, digitalization, artificial intelligence, safety, and future powertrains. The conference confirmed that modern vehicles alone are not enough for attractive public transport. It is crucial to create conditions that make public transport fast, accessible, reliable, and the natural choice for everyday travel.
