On Car Free Day, public transport in Hradec Králové will be free for driver's license holders

The Public Transit Company of the City of Hradec Králové will participate in the European Mobility Week, which takes place from September 16 to 22. On Tuesday, September 22, when the program culminates with Car-Free Day, holders of a valid driver's license will be able to travel on Hradec Králové public transport for free all day long. At the same time, the transit company will present itself to the public in the afternoon on Tyl Embankment, where it will have an information booth and a public transport vehicle on display.

By offering free transport, the transport company wants to give motorists the opportunity to leave their cars at home for at least one day and try traveling around the city by public transport. To use the free public transport on September 22, it will be sufficient to present a valid driver's license during any transport inspection. The offer will be valid all day within the Hradec Králové public transport network.

In the afternoon, the public transit company will also take part directly in the Car-Free Day program on Tylovo nábřeží. From 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, visitors will find the DPMHK information booth there and will be able to view an on-display vehicle. The program on the embankment will focus on various options for getting around the city, safety, and active movement, and will be complemented by other activities prepared as part of the European Mobility Week.

European Mobility Week is a pan-European initiative focused on sustainable urban transport and takes place annually from September 16 to 22. Its aim is to present ways to get around the city on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport, and to highlight the importance of a balanced use of individual modes of transport. Hradec Králové regularly participates in the campaign with its own public program.
