We held an international meeting of trolleybus transport experts in Warsaw.
The public transport company of Hradec Králové has once again confirmed that in the field of trolleybus transport, it is among respected professional partners, not only in the Czech Republic but also on an international scale. On May 13-14, 2026, a meeting of the Trolleybus expert group within the association of Czech transport companies took place in Warsaw, which had a distinctly international character. 77 specialists from transport companies participated in the event. companies, technical firms, and institutions from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Lithuania.
The transport company from Hradec Králové has been actively involved in the preparation and organization of this platform for a long time. The director of DPMHK, Zdeněk Abraham, has been the chairman of the professional trolleybus group of SDP-ČR since 2021, and Petr Voltr, the head of the vehicle fleet maintenance and repair center of DPMHK, is its secretary.
„Our goal is for the Trolleybus Group meetings to be more than just a formal exchange of information, but a real working platform where people from operations, technical departments, and production can meet. In Warsaw, we succeeded in connecting the experiences of Czech, Slovak, Polish, and Lithuanian partners and opening up topics that are important for the future of trolleybus transport,“ says Petr Voltr.
The program focused on legislative and operational differences in individual countries, vehicle maintenance, overhead lines, and safety technologies. It also included excursions with thematic explanations at Polish operators and at Systemy Autobusowe, a company that deals with fire suppression systems for vehicles.
The significance of the event was underscored by the participation of representatives from all Polish companies operating trolleybus transport.repair – TLT Tychy, MPK Lublin and PKT Gdynia.
